Greetings Anonymous, I am from Vaimauga the district in which Laulii is. I also have a part Lauli'i. It's a different village there make quite a lot of trouble as well.hehehe. But its a good village. Perhaps you should go back and visit your family at Lauli'i. Good luck manuteleina Tamavaimauga.
hi friend, my family is from laulii. My family are one of the well known family in laulii. Beginning with my great grandfather who was in charge of all the village in his days now pass down to another family member that looks after Laulii. My parents moved back to Samoa Laulii 3years ago to start their business. They have a shop in Laulii just after the LAULII welcome sign around the bend. So it will be the first palagi shop youll see & the last when your exiting laulii.
Laulii was a naughty village but that was when my parents were young 30 plus years ago? But it is a very nice village to visit like all the other villages next door but without the too many strict rules!.. Laulii are on the coastal area so when your driving from Apia you'll be seeing the ocean all the way to Laulii. Behind my family home there use to be a cricket field! but as years gone by the ocean raised higher till there was only half. My younger sister would know more she knows laulii area & all of samoa since she works there. But will ask her to email you if you have a address.
Do you know who your biological parents are & last names? I can help you if you like? I can ask my father whom his uncle is one of the Lauliis council. Up to you & when your ready will go from there.. God bless & live well
Hi there to the the person that has family in Laulii. I also have famz there I am from Auckland New Zealand. I have been back myself to the Village when my father was alive though with my brothers and sister. People are great there and I think on a soft note did not know what to expect back then being from NZ. But had a open mind this is where my grandparents are from. And where my father resided to the end of his life.
All of Samoa is a lovely clean place and the ppl from Laulii and other villages were very respectful to my family knowing who our father was till he passed away. Being born in NZ and part Maori/Samoan I understand the culture and the ppl that live there you have to go there first to experience the island and the ppl of the village before making a judgement call. I never regret for a moment going back to my father island and hometown and meeting ppl there. My father taught me it is not what u know of Samoa and Village it is who your parents are that will identify you back to your Aiga and protect u.
So please try and go back to Samoa and the Laulii and find out for yourself everyone in Samoa is very nice to meet.
